Cross Country | FallRegistration for the 2026-2027 James River Eagles Boys & Girls Cross Country Teams opens July 1, 2026
Most of our meets are large invitational meets and are run on Saturday mornings. The great thing about cross country is that there is no limit to how many can be on a team and every runner participates fully in every race! The Cross Country season "runs" from September through October. Practices begin in August and online registration will be open July 1st! Runners do not need prior experience, but it is helpful. There are no "tryouts". We strive to help further each runner’s development as an athlete representing Christ each season. Registration prices for the 2026-2027 season remains at $125.00 for each participant. Our 10% sibling discount will be applied for multiple participants within one family and installment payments are available. Track | SpringRegistration for the 2026-2027 James River Eagles Boys & Girls Spring Track Team opens July 1st!
After 12 seasons of cross country, we were extremely excited to announce James River Eagles Spring Track for grades 7 - 12 and we had 32 runners sign up! Coach Jen Flack, who we introduced last fall as our Cross Country coach, expanded our Running Program to include Track. Coach Jen says, "...depending on numbers and involvement, we can develop the track program more." Coach Jen ran collegiately at the University of Virginia and is excited to keep our program "running"! Track clinics will focus on speed drills, running form, baton handling-offs, and endurance. We will also have fun team-building activities and education on track etiquette. Track differs from cross country in that athletes run different events spanning from the 100 meters to a 2-mile race. Whatever the distance, every athlete must come ready to run! No spikes are necessary for meets, just good running shoes. May the Lord give his strength and peace as we run for him. We strive to help further each runner’s development as an athlete representing Christ each season. Registration prices for the 2026-2027 spring track season remains at $125.00 for each participant.
