| The Home School Revue |
The Home School Revue was a vital part of the annual Performing Arts Expo, an event held in April of 2011-2014. The Revue provided an opportunity for home schooled individuals to share their gifts with others in (and out) of the home school community. Groups who offer performing arts opportunities to home educated students also performed during the program, which gave students and parents looking for enrichment opportunities a chance to familiarize themselves with what each group had to offer.
The Home School Revue was sponsored by both the James River Home School Foundation and CounterACT with two-fold goal:
1) give home school students/graduates an opportunity to share their God-given talents with the community, and
2) to give groups that offer extra-curricular activities for home schooled students a platform to perform and promote themselves within the home school community so that parents and students attending can learn of enrichment opportunities.
Looking for a fun family-friendly show?
Join us for the Home School Revue and enjoy a truly delightful evening filled with a great variety of entertainment. Not only will your whole family have a blast, you'll be showing your support of other local home educated students' desire to glorify God with their talents and you'll have the opportunity to learn more about performing arts opportunities available to your own family. It's a deal you just can't pass up!

Do you enjoy singing, dancing, acting or playing an instrument? Come share your talent with us! Home school students and graduates are encouraged to participate in the annual Home School Revue held on the fourth Saturday in April. In the past, individual acts have included vocal solos, instrumental solos, dance routines (ballet and Irish hardshoe and softshoe), monologues, skits, and a TaeKwonDo Demonstration.
Contact us if you would like to participate, or if you have any questions.
Groups which offer performing arts opportunities are cordially invited to come and demonstrate exactly what it is that they give students a chance to do. In years past, we've hosted groups such as the Home School Concert Band, The Dovetail Group (TDT and His Handmaids), the JRHSF Academy's Acting Class, and CounterACT.
Contact us if your group of a group you know of would like to participate!
